CHEPSTOW Town 1sts shared the points with a 1-1 draw at home to top half Brecon Corries on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead at Larkfield Road on 25 minutes before Mason Keepin-Davies levelled up in first half injury time, followed by a second half stalemate, with the draw leaving the Jockeys tenth in the Ardal South East League.

But a goal three minutes into second half stoppage time sank town neighbours Thornwell R&W 2-1 at Trinant, leaving them bottom of Gwent Premier 2.

The visitors led 1-0 at half-time thanks to a 21st-minute goal from Jehroame Edwards.

But Trinant levelled six minutes into the second period and then broke Thornwell hearts with virtually the last kick.

Table mates Usk Town also lost 3-0 away to mid-table Riverside Rovers, trailing from the ninth minute and then conceding in stoppage time at the end of both halves to sit ninth.

But unbeaten Llanarth-based Gwent Central 1 high-flyers Glascoed secured a point at third-placed Tranch to stay second in a hard-fought 2-2 draw.

Riley Williamson was at it again in a man-of-the-match performance, with two cracking strikes from outside the box on 51 and 79 minutes – assisted by Dan Wilcox and Kevin Andrews respectively – as Glascoed came from behind to make it six wins from six.

And Usk 2nds won 3-0 at home to Gwent Central 2 basement boys Sebastopol 2nds to sit second behind table toppers Penygarn & Trevethin, Shaun Harding, Aled Burkitt and Greg Harris with the goals.

Chepstow Town 1sts visit Croesyceiliog in the Ardal South East league this Saturday (November 15).
