STUDENTS from Monmouth and Usk Tae Kwon Do travelled to the Bristol academy to take Black Belt gradings last month.

Monmouth Students Tina Park and son Oliver, gained their 1st Dan belts while Melissa Penman was promoted to 2nd Dan and Peter Burge to 3rd Dan.

Along with the group were two members of the Usk club, Alice Weare and Caitlin Jenkins. Both girls were successful in gaining their 1st Dan.

In addition to the success of his students, Master Tony Farr was also promoted to 6th Dan Black Belt Master.

Tony said: "The weekend was very successful overall and I am very proud of all the students' hard work and success."
