CHEPSTOW resident Rory Garey will be captaining Wales at this month's European 6-a-side football championships.

He will be flying out to Montenegro this week with the rest of the Wales squad competing against Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria initially in their group.

The games will be shown live on Montenegran TV and the crowd for last year's final saw 4,000 people attend.

Rory said: "It was nice to draw Bulgaria, who beat us last year. We will most certainly be aiming to put right last year's performance against them.

"Slovakia and Poland will also provide tough opposition but we will be ready and fully prepared. Now we know our opposition it gives us the chance to 'do our homework'. It's going to be tough in Montenegro no doubt about it."
