B LEAGUE leaders Chepstow Rugby Club lost their 100 per cent record this week as they lost a close fought game at second placed Burnt Barn Club B 8-7.

G. Jones of the Burnt Barn took out a 120 check, while Tom Fuller of the Rugby club hit a 180.

Other results in the B league saw the Carpenters Arms beat Thornwell Football Club 11-4, and Chepstow Athletic Club B won away at the Village Inn A 8-7.

In the A league, leaders Village Inn B had another convincing victory as they beat Chepstow Athletic Club A 7-2, with Alan Robbins hitting a 180 for the Sedbury side.

Second placed Chepstow Football Club A kept up the pressure at the top with an 8-1 win at home to the Severn Bridge Social Club, Barry Aggett of the football club taking a superb 142 checkout.

The Five All's and the Burnt Barn Club A had a close fought match with the Five All's coming out on top with a 5-4 victory, Joe Orme (Five All's) and Martin Smith (Burnt Barn A) both hit 180's during the match.
