PROCEEDS from the Wyedean Forest Rally's "Wyedean at 40" dinner were presented to charities last week.

Cheques were handed to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and Friends of Dilke Hospital, in the Forest of Dean.

The charities benefited from £2,000 each, which was raised at the event held in February, just before the 40th running of the famous rally.

More than 200 people attended the dinner, which saw the launch of a new book looking back at the 40 years the Wyedean Forest Rally has been run.

A large number of drivers past and present attended with guest of honour David Richards, World Rally Championship winner and chairman of motorsport company Prodrive.
