IN Gwent County League Division 3, Caldicot Castle lost 2-1 at home to bottom club Trinant, Thornwell Red & White went down 3-2 at Rogerstone and Rockfield Rovers lost 3-1 at West of St Julians.
Castle boss Dave Adamson said his team were missing players but described the performance as "woeful".
"We started well and Joe O Brien scored with a great volley from Richard Regulski's cross, but that was about the only highlight," he said.
"They scored twice in the second half and thoroughly deserved the win as they wanted it more and showed much more quality on the ball. We were woeful and it was very disappointing."
Thornwell boss Steve Bidmead said his men worked hard but had very little luck.
"Our two scores came from an own goal and Liam Parker," he said.
"We hit the bar twice, missed a penalty, had one shot cleared off the line and worked hard as a team but it's just not falling for us this season."
