A DYNAMIC acrobatics duo from Caldicot have qualified to represent Wales in the British finals in May, after winning gold over the weekend.

Joshua Carron, 15, and Eva Cliff, 11, of Wye Gymnastics, flew to top position while competing at Grade 4 at the Sports Wales National Centre in Cardiff.

Team mates Mollie Harris, 10, and Ioan Edwards, 14, competing at Grade 3 went on to gain silver in their class.

A total of 12 young gymnasts aged between 8-15 represented the club, qualifying from Grade 2 to Grade 5 in this annual event which is part of the National Development Plan created by British Gymnastics

Head coach at Wye Gymnastics, Carly Hawke, said: "All the gymnasts competed extremely well, it is a very big venue but they all did well under the pressure and we are very pleased with all their performances."
