ROYAL Dean Forest Riders have been in action this autumn, in the Western League Cyclocross Series.

James Moverley, James Peckham, Digby Rusling, Adam Taylor and Jared Linden have all contested various rounds.

Jared, fresh from his first place in the Forest of Dean Enduro event last month, has made a good transition from his usual mountain bike racing over to Cyclocross, with a 13th place at the Bristol round on the 26th October and came 10th place at the Stroud on Sunday 2nd November.

Jared may be able to pick up a few mountain bike tips from a star of the sport at the RDFCC annual prize giving dinner later this month.

The event will have as guest of honour Oli Beckingsale. Oli has represented UK and England at Olympics and Commonwealth games, and is four times British MTB Cross Country Champion.

Continuing through the autumnal months, mountain bike and road bike rides leave from Parkend every Sunday at 9.30am.

The Juniors' section leave the Kona café at 9am every Sunday and are always glad to see new faces.
