The boys from Kestrel Gymnastics Club were all smiles after taking part in the AIFG Floor and Vault competition.

The younger gymnasts were not phased at all at their first-ever competition, joining gymnasts from other clubs, and they tried their best to perform a floor routine with minimum faults and two vaults to gain an overall score.

In the five/ six years section, Alex Hill-Wilson had a very good competition taking gold, Dovydas Zagorskis won silver and Aedan McDaid bronze, and together with James Davies they took the team gold.

Not to be left out, Oliver Sapsford, Henri Jones-Dekerf and Daniel Waters won team silver.

In the seven years section Joseph Dunster won gold with an excellent vault performance and Joel Kohler-Hoon won silver.

This was followed by four more Gold winners – in the nine years group William Dent, 12/ 13 years William John, 14/ 15 years Sam Dallimore and 16 years+ Ben Lloyd, both older boys performed Tsukahara vaults and well executed twists in their floor routines.
