The Final of the LEH Trophy on Wednesday, March 26th, was hosted this year by Bishopswood SMBC who also prepared a fine buffet supper for everyone present.

The finalists were Ross SMBC and Fownhope SMBC, fighting out an all disciplines match; Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours. The Pairs and Triples were played first and resulted in the Ross team coping best with mats that made it difficult to control the shots and they set up a solid 11 points lead to take them into the second part of the evening.

The Singles and Fours saw Fownhope fight back with a sound win in the Singles by 14 shots to 8 leaving the Fours needing a 6 shots victory to win.

The last discipline was a 10 ends game and as with the Pairs and the Triples before them the Fownhope team struggled to tame the vagaries of the mats. By the seventh end they trailed by 6 shots to 5 and the last three ends saw the Ross team secure their lead firmly in place with a 16 shots to 6 win.

The final result over all the disciplines was a win for the Ross team by 15 shots
