Huw Edwards suggests Boris Johnson should have resigned in September 2019 after proroguing Parliament to ensure Brexit happened.
By calling a general election shortly afterwards, Boris was effectively “resigning” and offering the public the chance to either reinstate him or replace him as Prime Minister.
The result that December was very clear.
