The Wyedean Canoe Club had a very successful litter pick from the Saracens Head, Symonds Yat to Monmouth last week . There were about 30 canoes and kayaks and brought ashore quite a pile of stuff, including 2 traffic cones, a 2 metre length of decking, a seat from another canoe company, various metal items, and 2 tyres.
The Monthly Monmouth Litter Pick starts from the Wye July Festival on July 10th 2pm not the skatepark as is usual.
Litter pick champion Jim Handley said the club had a “great turnout last Thursday evening for their litter pick by canoe down the River Wye to Monmouth which all helps to reduce the waste and pollution getting into the Bristol Channel.”
