Monmouth continues to rally around the mum trying to raise £40,000 for a life-changing operation for her daughter.

Helen Morgan has so far raised more than £4,000 towards the operation for six-year-old Chase Vaughan, who has cerebral palsy.

The latest fundraising venture has been to sell wristbands bearing the slogan 'A Big Wish For Chase'.

Helen's friend Claire Gardiner is pictured here selling a wristband to Beacon editor Phil Wilkinson-Jones.

"I'm in contact with a lot of parents who have done similar things and they suggested a company that makes wristbands," said Helen.

"We ordered 200 to start with but have nearly sold out so there are another 300 on order."

The wristbands, which cost £1.50, will be available from the Spar shop at Kings Fee and the Green Dragon pub.
