SIR,

It was disappointing that because of the time involved, it was considered inappropriate this year to allow the individual consecutive laying of wreaths at the war memorial.

This seemed to convey the message "We will remember them...as long as it doesn't take to long".

So whether we are bathed with sunshine or soaked with rain, can we please get back to the full ceremony and traditional routine next year?
