The Prego Restaurant recently held a wine auction in aid

of Macmillan Cancer Support.  

Donna and her staff gave their services for free on

the night, wining and dining their customers, culminating

in a frenzy of activity when the wine was auctioned off.  

A fantastic £2,500 was raised from the event which

will be used to help local people living with and beyond

cancer.

Cancer Support said "We would like to thank Donna and all

her staff so much for organising this amazing event".

 New figures just released show that around two

million people are living with cancer in the UK at the

present time and one in three people will have a cancer

diagnosis at some point in their lives.  

Macmillan provides practical, medical, emotional and

financial support to people affected by cancer but

sufferers would be unable to do any of these things

without the help of supporters.
