We wanted to send a word of thanks to your many readers who have supported the campaign against a wind turbine at the milking folds on Pen-y-Clawdd.

This spot is a viewpoint enjoyed by many of us over the years and we were delighted to see so many cyclists, walkers, horse riders and local residents supporting us in our opposition to have a windturbine erected at this point.

Full credit to Monmouthshire County Council who refused the application on the grounds of its impact on the landscape, which will now remain unspoilt for all of us to enjoy.
