SIR,

On 25th June 2007 the Hull flood disaster took place, leading to 17,000 properties being 10,000 homes having to be evacuated.

Most of the residents found themselves living in caravans for up to 18 months.

On 30th August 1999, in a four hour documentary called 'Hot and Cold: the Essential Guide to the Weather' on BBC2, Monmouth was twinned with Hull where flooding is concerned, as a place to avoid buying a house.

Due to global warming both Monmouth and Hull were unsuitable for residential development. The information was provided by the Met Office.

The predictions came true for Hull on the 25th June 2007 when the flood struck.

Mass immigration under the banner of political correctness was exploited by the 1997 to 2012 government to generate a robust economy through the greenbelt housing market which generated money for the treasury.

Political correctness is tyranny through the back door of democracy. Despite election promises there has never been a referendom on immigration or being in the EU. Why not?
