The reservoir remains almost full despite the lack of rain.

Strong winds during the days resulted in fewer anglers boat fishing. Fish were showing on top but they were mainly accessible to the boat anglers.

However, catches were taken from the bank and Malcolm Reed landed two fish-7lb 10oz that included one at 5lb 8oz the heaviest fish of the week.

Steve Musto three fish-6lb 2oz and visitors S Bennett two fish-4lb, Mark Dearman five fish-10lb, Ashley Short two fish-4lb 4oz, Ian Porter two fish-4lb 8oz, D Poyner three fish-6lb 8oz, B Baker two fish-4lb 2oz.

There were several good catches taken by the boat anglers that included Howard Davies five fish-11lb 4oz, G Carberry three fish-10lb 10oz best fish 4lb 10oz and two at 3lb, G Birkett three fish-6lb 8oz, J Morgan five fish-11lb 5oz and K Gardner three fish-6lb 10oz.

On catch and release were Nick Sattin three, C Clarke 10, C Evans 20, M Roberts 18, A Bew five and R Hallaran five.

Top fly patterns included small black buzzers, GRHE, damsels, blood worm and diawl bach all fished with a very slow retrieve together with either sink tip, intermediate and floating lines.

Hot spots continue to be the tump and east bank and average weight per fish was 2lb 3oz.

If the hot weather and strong winds continue then fishing will most likely be difficult but rewarding for those anglers that catch.
