The poor weather conditions deterred many prospective anglers from fishing at Wentwood during the week.
However, catches were taken by the bank and boat anglers and for those anglers that caught, they certainly had to work hard to land the fish.
Successful boat anglers included Ron Gough with four fish-9lb; Richard Elms four fish-8lb 6oz; Mike Roberts four fish-8lb 14oz; John Hole five fish-10lb 11oz; Robert Hole five fish-10lb 14oz; Glyn Row five fish-10lb 8oz; Peter Dent five fish-10lb 12oz and visitor Ian Porter on a two fish ticket landed two fish-4lb 9oz.
Catching from the bank were Owen Caudle five fish-11lb 1oz that included one at 3lb; Chris Pugh one fish-2lb 8oz and Gary Wharton four fish-8lb 7oz.
