Fishing was again very difficult during the week with only the occasional fish seen feeding on top. The unsettled weather and strong winds deterred many anglers but a few that did fish were rewarded with some excellent sport. Several anglers decided to bank fish including Martin Haysom who took five fish-10lb during an afternoon session. Also hitting form were visitors D.Thomas two fish-4lb 12oz, Les Bollom two fish- 4lb 15oz and Tom Margrett two fish-4lb 6oz both from Ross were on their first visit to the reservoir. L.Holvey one fish-2lb 3oz, Steve Musto three fish- 8lb 4oz, Howard Davies continued his good form taking another two fish-4lb 5oz, A Harding two fish-5lb 8oz, and Chris Price two fish-4lb. Those caught included junior Calum Roberts two fish-4lb 2oz, Ann Heming five fish-11lb whilst Dave Jones who is having his best season in several years took four fish-11lb 4oz the heaviest weighed 3lb 8oz. Fishing from the tump again continues to be the main hot spot but the east bank towards the tower has also been productive. The water level is fairly static at present and the clarity of the water is the best it has been for several seasons. However with the warm weather and water temperature ranging between 17 and 18 C. the fishing will remain difficult for the next couple of weeks. (Returns Sec)
