SIR,

This year is the centenary of the tragic early death of Charles Rolls. The big theatrical event of the year, specially written to commemorate the event, is the Rolls Revue, set in the Edwardian era, which is being performed at HMSG at the beginning of June.

Rehearsals have started, and Off Centre Theatre is working at full stretch. OCT is making this plea: the wardrobe department needs YOU! You may not wish to sing, act or dance in public, but if you can hold a needle, you can still be involved.

The Edwardian era was opulent indeed. Could you decorate a hat, create a corsage, or fashion a bustle? If you can sew (nothing too difficult) or are willing to try and you have some time to spare, we have yards of lace, ribbons and flowers, frills and furbelows to assemble.

If you think you can help, contact me on 01600 713694, Anne MacFarlane on 01600 713415, or Cedric Gibbons on 01600 716162.

Also, if you have any unused soft hats that OCT can change into Edwardian, or any boaters that we can use, please contact us on the same numbers.

Thérèse Casemore
