SIR, I wish to disagree with your correspondent who stated "you get your money back anyway". I am a mid-week shopper and find myself between two stools, so to speak. I want more than a few items, so need more than half an hour. I regularly spend around £20, but hardly ever more than £25. So, if I park in Waitrose to do my mid-week shop, I don't get my money back – even though their car park is half empty. The message Waitrose is sending to the modest shopper is quite clear: "Get lost, we don't want your custom". I am not happy about it, but will oblige. (Name and address supplied)
