SIR,

I have written to Mr Huw Lewis, the heritage minister at the Welsh Assembly, to ask him to explain how he came to be in conflict with Monmouth Archaeology over what is clearly a very important archaeological site.

It sounds to me as though someone in his department has some explaining to do as Cadw was created to protect our historic heritage but it appears that it is now doing the opposite.
