There is a van on fire northbound on the A40 between Raglan and Monmouth.

The incident is between the Raglan junction for Abergavenny and the A40 northbound services. Emergency services are on the scene.

Police have closed the slip way from Raglan to Monmouth at Raglan and are diverting traffic.

Some of the hedgerow is now alight.

Traffic is building up and motorists are advised to find an alternative route.
