LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has congratulated all those involved with Usk In Bloom on raising just over £6,000 at their recent auction, held at The Nag's Head, Usk.

Nick, who donated a prize of lunch for two at the Assembly, said: "This was a tremendous, record-breaking event and is a tribute to all those who worked so hard and gave so generously.

"As many will know, this coming year is a big one for the town as Usk has been chosen to enter the Champion of Champions Class in the prestigious Britain in Bloom competition. Usk is one of only six places in the whole of Britain to be considered." 

  "I wish them every success in their bid for the 2015 Championship."
