Police are attending a fatal road traffic collision on the M48 eastbound between Magor and Chepstow which resulted in the death of a male.

Its believed the male had been outside of his car on the carriageway when the collision with a lorry occurred at approximately 10.20am.

East and westbound carriageways of the M48 are closed and diversions are in place.

The carriageways will be opened once the vehicles have been recovered.
