The scarecrow competition at Tregaer has generated a huge amount of interest again this year.

There were 27 scarecrows on display around the parish and nearly 200 trail maps were sold to visitors coming to visit.

The hall was full on Saturday 26th August, as everyone eagerly awaited the results.

The first prize was awarded to the Jenkins Family, Wern Melin for ‘The Tin Man’. Second prize went to Edward and Janet Baylis for Mary Poppins.

Third prize went to Nick and Lynne Stock for ET.

The Tregaer Hall Committee thanked everyone who took part and supported the event.

Special thanks were given to the sponsors, Wendy at Raglan Post Office and Robert Hughes for all their support. To date £440 has been raised for Tregaer Church.
