A Caldicot man has been killed after being hit by a train on Wednesday (18th January).

The police are not treating the incident as suspicious.

British Transport Police attended the scene at Caldicot level crossing at Pill Row just after 4pm.

The man, named locally as Wesley Hale, was pronounced dead at the scene.
