German paratroopers from the FJ125 Paratroop regiment, pictured above, landed at Tintern Old Station last weekend, 21st and 22nd September, and tried to capture the station.

American Paratroopers from the 101 Airborne Regiment, below, and the British army, including detachments from the South Wales Borderers, were on hand to stop and capture them.

Fortunately, it was a re-enactment of what may have happened had the Germans landed.

Saturday saw the Allied forces overwhelmed, but word had it that the Germans were repulsed the following day.

The event was in aid of Help for Heroes.
