Monmouth fire and rescue crews used the funds from one of their car washes to support local pupils at Overmonnow school
The clean-up operation at the station last year raised £130 for the Specialist Resource Base (SRB) at Overmonnow School.
Three of the lads from the station gave the pupils a look around one of the appliances when they visited the school with the funds.
Jayne Whittington of the SRB said that the money will be put towards their garden “as we are in the process of building an allotment for the children”.
Monmouthshire County Council operates Specialist Resource Bases (SRBs) to provide tailored education for pupils with complex additional learning needs, including Autism and profound disabilities, within mainstream school settings.
