Monmouth's Tourist Information Centre (TIC) will be moving back to the Shire Hall next week.
The centre's two staff will become Shire Hall workers as of next Wednesday (20th April).
Shire Hall manager Mike Booth has welcomed the move, which will see the building opening its doors to the public on a daily basis for the first time since its restoration was completed last summer.
"It is excellent news for the Shire Hall, for the town's traders and for visitors to Monmouth," he said.
"The TIC staff will become Shire Hall staff – part of the team here – and will provide tourist and local information."
TIC branding and the promised digital technology will come along later, but the priority is to get the service up and running in its new home.
