Art Friends Gwent, lecture on Women War Artists by Rosemary Chaloner in the ballroom at Bridges Community Centre, Friday 14 th Nov at 10:30 a.m

Remembering the fallen through the eyes of women War Artists will be the topic of Art Friends Gwent, November meeting.

Rosemary Chaloner is an experienced speaker and author of ‘The Ballon Girl’ which tells the tragic story of a very young girl from Cardiff who died in a balloon flying accident in the late nineteenth century. Rosemary has had an interesting career which has involved training as a dancer, becoming a Butlins Redcoat, Stage Manager, Secretary and latterly a tour guide in Cardiff. She has a wealth of stories to tell about women and war but will focus on women, war and art through the ages in this lecture for AFG.
