TINTERN and Llandogo are two focal locations featured in a widely recognised Netflix Series, so here’s everything you need to know about them.

The popular series Sex Education became well- known in 2019 when it was first launched. It follows the lives of teenagers and adults who live in a fictional town of Moordale.

Whilst becoming hugely popular it captured the attention of many, with some of the prime filming locations right here in Monmouthshire.

One of the locations featured in the series is situated in Llandogo, Brown’s Village Stores. It was a family run business and served the village of Llandogo since 1928.

The shop is best known for featuring characters Adam Groff (Connor Swindells) and Ola Nyman (Patricia Allison) who used to work in the shop.

What some people might not know is they changed the inside of the shop to meet the criteria of what was needed in the show, almost becoming unrecognisable for those who were regular customers at the shop.

The store was named after it’s owners and the original signage stayed in place for the filming of the show.

Another location frequently used in the show is just up the road from Llandogo next to Whitestone. The stretch of road is used often when Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) and Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) would be seen riding their bikes to school.

A prime location in the show is Wireworks bridge in Tintern. The bridge sits above the River Wye and is a regular walking route for residents.

Many iconic moments were captured here between Otis, Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Eric. It is best known as the backdrop for Otis and Eric’s daily bike commute to school, emotional scenes between Otis and Maeve and when characters were walking home after Aimee Gibbs (Aimee Lou Wood’s) house party.
