Heartless thieves broke into Osbaston Church in Wales Infants School last week and after ransacking some of the classrooms, they made off with a laptop, two digital cameras and the poppy charity collection tin.

The children had been raising money for Remembrance Day by selling poppies to families and friends, and between the two schools last year, they raised £60.21 for the good cause.

Headteacher Richard Osbourne said: "It was very disappointing for the children to learn that someone had stolen the Royal British Legion box. They were also unsettled to know that someone had broken into the building and entered their own safe space. The building is alarmed," he added.
