THE immensely popular and locally-renowned band The Ronaldos have been confirmed as headliners for Live on the Wye festival and will play the main stage on Saturday 4th June.

The entertaining quartet are best known for putting their own inimitable twist to rock classics such as Status Quo and Van Morrison and for belting out modern day versions of the Verve, White Stripes and Kings of Leon.

They will follow hot on the heels of RenattaJane, a young rock ‘n’ roll band who have created a buzz on the London music scene and who recently recorded with The Cures producer David Allen.

The festival’s music organiser, Jon Sheasby, said: “Wherever The Ronaldos play there is always a guaranteed party and so our visitors are in for a brilliant day. Across the Friday and Saturday we have 14 top quality bands and there is also a big emphasis on showcasing emerging talent. RenattaJane are one of the bands destined for big things and we’re delighted to have them.”

Live on the Wye takes place in Redbrook and is sponsored by the Monmouthshire and Chepstow Beacon. Festival-goers will also discover an arts and crafts market, a programme for children and locally produced food and craft ales from Kingstone Brewery.

Earlybird tickets can be purchased at the discount price of £7 per adult until 21st May and camping tickets are also available. All proceeds go to the Redbrook Village Trust. For tickets and information visit www.liveonthewye.co.uk
