MADAM,
Now that the curtains have fallen on yet another Chepstow Festival, on behalf of the town council I’d like to thank all those who organised and took part in another thriving and successful celebration of literature, music and theatre.
A special thank you must go to Councillor Ned Heywood MBE and all those volunteers on the Festival Organising Committee for their time, hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank all those local businesses and organisations that contributed to the event and of course, all those patrons that came from far and wide to see a real diverse range of shows and performances.
While the festival only takes place on a bi-annual basis, it is attracting performers and theatre companies who are internationally recognised and just when you think that it has peaked in its quality, it continues to showcase talent that its truly extraordinary.
It is a culture jewel of Wales and as a community, we need to continue to support it in any way we can.
Councillor Paul Pavia
(Mayor of Chepstow)
