SIR,

I would like to thank all the good people of Monmouth for signing the Army combat trousers which my mum, Yvette Adwick, filled with Christmas goodies.

It was a great surprise, its always good to know that people back at home are thinking of all of our Armed Forces serving overseas.

I shared the goodies with my Army pals and it made our Christmas a little more bearable.

I am returning to Afghanistan tonight after two weeks of R&R and lots of spoiling by my family.
