On behalf of the Christian Aid committee in Monmouth, I would like to thank all who supported our Flags Days on 17th and 18th May.

A total of £923.29 was raised for people in Bolivia who are fighting for their rights to the land which is theirs so they can grow crops and rear animals.

They need this to be able to feed their families and have enough to sell at market. Also water from new dams in Zimbabwe built with the support of Christian Aid allows nutritious crops of vegetables and beans to flourish in a once barren landscape, providing the sustenance and income they need to thrive.

Your money has helped to Bite back Hunger, but it is still hard to believe that nearly 900 million people will go to bed hungry tonight. Thank you for your generous giving.
