May we please, through your Beacon letters page, thank all involved in our fundraising event.
On Saturday 12th June an evening of fun and entertainment was held at The Royal Oak, Monmouth.
The purpose of the night was to raise money for our local Monmouth breast cancer support group and this was achieved by a healthy raffle, Irish bingo and the sale of Welsh cakes and jewellery.
Over 50 people enjoyed the live entertainment provided by Rachel Stevens along with duets with her sister Sophie.
Sophie also did a great job with the bingo calling.
A total of £435 was raised and we would like to thank all who attended for supporting and giving so generously on the night.
Thank you to all the kind donations for the raffle, to Joanne for making the Welsh cakes and to Jan for making jewellery, all of which sold.
A huge thank you to Rachel and Sophie, our daughters, for the live entertainment and all their help in making it a very enjoyable and successful night.
