Julieanne Wilkinson and her faithful friend Toffee the dog were delighted last Thursday (17th June) after being presented with their plaque for winning best dressed at this year's Wye Valley Walk.

The plaque was handed over outside the Beacon office by Norman Williams of Monmouth Rotary Club.

The six-year-old dog, who lives in Wyesham with his owner Helen, has helped Julieanne with her recovery after treatment for breast cancer.

Julieanne said: "We were so pleased to have won. I raised £275 in sponsorship, which goes to a great cause.

"Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected, whether it be a family member or a friend.

"The plaque will be given pride of place in my front room."
