SIR,
On driving along Dixton Close I was surprised to see a monstrous building had been erected.
Have Monmouthshire County Council's planning department plus our local councillors, who we the public elect, failed Monmouth residents yet again?
Will everyone who applies for new builds in their front gardens get planning permission? I don't think so.
Then low and behold, the same thing is about to happen on the edge of the pavement on Dixton Road.
I hope the planning officers have done their homework – water, sewage drainage etc – I don't think so.
Last but not least, have they taken the residents thoughts and feelings into consideration? I don't think so.
