A NEW breast feeding support group has been set up for mothers and babies.

La Leche League (LLL) Monmouth will meet every fourth Friday with the first meeting arranged for this Friday (27th February).

Mums are invited to join the group for a guided discussion with other breastfeeding mums to benefit from mother to mother support.

LLL was established in Illinois, USA in 1956 when a group of seven mothers got together to organise a support group. The organisation was established to help mothers breast feed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education while promoting a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.

Friday's meeting will be held at Monmouth Library and will run from 10.30am to 12.30pm, refreshments are available.
