We had a lively meeting at the Monmouth Civic Society last week, during which we discussed things about our town of Monmouth which we would like to see put right or improved.

We would very much like to find out what other residents thought. The membership listed many things but we decided that the top four would be;

1. Some kind of guarantee that the townsfolk had a perpetual say in the future green status of Vauxhall Fields. Strong feelings about this.

2. A re-kindling of the use of the flower baskets with watering system in Monnow street.

3. Refurbishment and use of the Slaughterhouses (not for their original purpose)

4. A thorough inspection and repair of kerbs and pavements around the town.

If your readers could let us know what they think, it would be very helpful.
