Caldicot's visit to Monmouth's Under 15's rugby on Sunday turned out to be a very even match with some excellent passages of play. Caldicot were first to score a try in the 12th minute with Monmouth returning the favour with an excellent restart kick and follow up play with Mitchell Gleed pushing over for a try in the 14th minute. Caldicot then buckled down and managed to score a second try in the 18th minute. Monmouth not being outdone came back with some excellent play, supporting Ethan Watkins running over the second try in the 25th minute. After half time although there was no further score, both sides produced some great rugby with end to end excitment, the final score was a draw with 10 points to each side. Monmouths U15s next match is against Talywain on Sunday 21st 12pm kick off then they start the gwent district cup games, with the first game against Bedwas on the 28th October. Monmouths 9,10 & 11s sides are also playing Talywain at home, while the 12s, 14s and 16s all start their Cup Games on the 21st.
