The summer comes to an end and the bowlers at Monmouth Bowls Club pack away their bowls until April. Probably the greatest team effort was reaching the semi-final of the County Cup. Eventually all good cup runs must end and the team went down by 55 shots against the first division side, Crosskeys. However, the scalps of two first division sides hang in the clubhouse (metaphorically speaking!), after beating Cwmbran Park and then beating Pontymister Athletic at home by 1 point after being 41 shots down at halfway.
