ANYONE attending Monmouthshire Show this year can expect to see the usual exhibits, from livestock to agricultural machinery, but it is not too late to be part of it all.

This year it is free to enter the Homecrafts section at the show before 19th August, and there is a wide range of ways to join in.

Whether it is home baking or handicrafts, there are a wide range of classes to enter. There is plenty for the wine, spirits, cider, honey and preserve makers to enter also.

The show’s floral art section is always a delight to see and this year the theme for entries is ‘All things bright and beautiful.’ There are classes for the experienced and novice, so have a go.

There is also still plenty of time for both photography and art sections. Classes have been kept quite broad in nature, ensuring that there is a class or two for artists. Photographers are begin encouraged to go out and take photographs of this diverse and wonderful area in which we live. There is more information available on the website.

There are also a number of entires for the children’s section. With the show at the end of the school holidays, parents are being encouraged to get their children painting, drawing, writing and designing on those inevitable wet days.

Schedules for the show are available from www.monmouthshireshow.co.uk or in local shops.
