SIR,
I was saddened to read the anonymous letter in last week's Beacon with reference to our One Stop Shop. Maligning people doing a front line job, who cannot answer back, is cowardly in the extreme.
To correct points in the letter; "Ludicrous recently installed background musac" – this is Radio 2, a licence was applied for two years ago.
That is how long we have been using background Radio 2. This helps to give clients whoare either speaking with staff or using the telephone more privacy. It is not "pollution clear and simple".
The third paragraph speaks for itself, a very unhappy, sad and malicious outburst.
As to the question: "What will Monmouthshire County Council employees do next?" These ladies will keep soldiering on doing their job with much knowledge, professionalism and most importantly kindness for the hundreds of people who use the One Stop Shop.
These ladies do not deserve this sort of vicious outburst. They deserve our gratitude for a job well done.
