The school summer holidays may have been a washout but at John Kyrle, the rain has not dampened anyone's spirits.Over the last academic year, the school has been identified as outstanding by Ofsted, students have obtained the school's most successful results at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level and a greater number of students than before have had the opportunity to experience learning outside of the classroom on school trips and visits.

Records have already been broken at the beginning of the academic year and more students than ever are joining the school both at Year 7 and in the Sixth Form.

Headteacher, Nigel Griffiths said, "Students really enjoy the learning environment here at John Kyrle and have returned for the new term with their usual high levels of enthusiasm."
