Could someone please tell me, as someone who lives with a deaf partner, why Specsavers Monmouth is advertising hearing tests when Wales is not part of the scheme?

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this letter. It is not specified in the letter but I assume the correspondent is referring to the Any Qualified Provider scheme, which is a means of commissioning selected NHS services in England.

Many Specsavers hearing centres provide adult audiology services on behalf of the NHS in some areas of England, including the Herefordshire CCG just over the border.

The Any Qualified Provider scheme is not live in Wales so Specsavers in Monmouth does not provide any NHS services under the system. The store only offers private hearing services.
