The decision to close the Usk sorting office is wrong and will leave people in a rural area without a universal service from the Royal Mail.
Constituents have already raised the severe lack of consultation on the matter.
I have written to Royal Mail's senior management to express my strong opposition to the closure.
It once again highlights the way public services are being taken away from rural communities, and we have to fight back.
